- Male Green Wing Macaw with Cage 1000.00
Rocky!!Male Green Wing Macaw, 17 years old for sale to experienced handlers only. He does nip and needs someone that can take a bite or work with him using a stick when relocating him from cage to pirch. We have owned him for approximately 8 years now. He can be around older children but do not suggest holding. My ex was able to actually hold Rocky after working with him for months and taking a few nips. He seems to prefer males for handling. He was a rescue bird when we got him. He has great talking skills for a macaw. A sample of things he says are: Good Boy, Come Here, Get over here, Step Up, Bye Bye, Baby, (when tired he rubs his head and says babayyyyy), Nice, Imitates your laugh, Coo Coo, Hello Rock, Rock Man, Help,..thats not all of em....Rocky is a pirch sitting bird. He comes with a good sized pirch stand and spends most of his day on it. He does not like to be in his cage all day long and causes no problems on his pirch. He LOVES being outside all day on our deck in good weather (60 degrees or above) Rocky has a double cage that we bought online for several thousand dollars. It comes apart, has plexiglass front doors that slide and a divider for our African Grey which we plan on moving to another cage when we sell Rocky. There are metal sides and a paneled back on the cage. There are 2 food trays on each side of the cage. We built a bottom section to the cage that has 2 separate openings in front for storage of toys and food, there are two side handles for pulling the cage and it is on wheels for moving around the room. I have 3 08 babies with defects for sale. The first one is missing about 1/2 the length of his or hers toes. The baby can do everything normal. This happened by the parents in the nest box. The baby knows know different. This baby is $350 will require some taming but was hand feed. Once baby bonds will tame down quickly, Feathers are in good shape. Next baby has a twisted foot. Born this way or at least came from nest box this way. Can perch fine and gets around normal. Feathers good, taming needed $300, Last baby is a Red Factor, large bird with a torn eye duct I believe. IT weeps out of one eye and it looks to have been damaged. Again came from nest box this way. This baby has a few ruff feathes but is a very large bird and could make a great breeder as well. This baby is $300. Combine any two for $500 or all 3 for $700 Firm on the price. I can ship and send all in one pet taxi. Cost for shipping with pet taxi is $150 in most cases. The bird is very tame he is sweet as can be. I purchased this lovely girl to enjoy as a pet for a few years and then to breed. She's getting to that age and appears more interested in the boys now, but my financial situation has changed and I can no longer afford to do it right. I think these birds are rare enough that they should be bred to keep as much diversity in the gene pool as possible so my preference would be a quality breeding home. She is quite rare in that she was bred at The Bird Endowment (do a search on bing.com). They normally do not sell birds but her parents stopped feeding her clutch after a big storm. I believe she was in the last clutch or nearly the last clutch from their foundation pair Fantasy and Prophecy. Asking $1500.

Hi, I am looking to sell a pair of quaker parrots. The male is a green/blue/cinnamon and the female is a blue/cinnamon. They are proven and currently are weaning one little guy in the clutch. This pair was sold to me by a very popular quaker breeder from florida named Tom Nemvrosky ( not sure if i spelled that correctly). The female in the pair had her toes chewed/preened off when she was a baby, by an overzealous mother. That has not affected her ability to breed and raise young. Unfortunatley our careers have taken more time away from this beautiful little girl than we expected. She needs a good home and someone who knows how to care for and train her and who has enough time to spend with her.
The bird has a bad habit, but really wants to be held and have lots of attention. Her bad habit is nipping and occasionally nipping pretty hard. She can be very sweet and lovable most of the time. She is (like most macaws) extremely curious. She needs a new owner that is home a lot and willing to have her out of the cage a lot. - Goffin Cockatoo
We are looking to sell 'Honey' our Goffin Cockatoo. She loves to play inside and out, she loves taking showers with her pet humans and by herself. She is very friendly and a joy but I am currently looking for employment which will take me out of my home and will not have the time that I have now to spend with her and we are looking for a loving home for her to go to. - Young Shamrock Macaw Seeks New Parents
I am located in West Central Florida. I have an 18 month old, DNA'd Female, Shamrock Macaw that needs to be rehomed. Unfortunately she is a rescue whose human dad had a very serious heart attack that has left him completely disabled. Due to his medical issues, he and his wife now live in a home that does not allow pets.
The bird has some bad habits, but really wants to be held and have lots of attention. One of her bad habits is nipping and occasionally nipping pretty hard. She also does not like to be left out. If you are in another room talking and she can't see you, she will scream - incessantly - until you end your conversation. She will stop if someone goes into the room she is in, but I simply refuse to do that while she is screaming. She rarely screams if she is with a person or in the room where all the action is.
Her prefered place is on your arm or shoulder. She wants to be held constantly. She can be very sweet and lovable most of the time. She is (like most macaws) extremely curious.
She needs a new owner that is home a lot and willing to have her out of the cage a lot. She is fully flighted and aparently used to flying in a large screen room around the pool and lanai of her former owners as they spent lots of time outside. She LOVES being outdoors and loves to have the opportunity to fly. Due to this, we'd prefer she go to a person with a large enclosure - either a screened lanai or aviary.
She will only go to someone with verifiable, responsible, long term macaw experience and preference will be given to someone with at least one other macaw. A notarized adoption contract will be required. Her adoption fee is $350 with no cage. I have a very large, octagon shaped, macaw cage with interior dimensions of 52' x 52' x 60' if you purchase with the bird, I will sell it for $250. This cage cost me $1000 new.
The money is not as important as the environment she will be in and the time you will devote to her, so I'm not interested in the responders that say 'I've got the money, but.... I don't otherwise qualify with the requirements listed in the ad.' Also not interested in someone who wants a macaw that will just be rehomed in a few months or a few years. I'm looking for a forever home for this macaw or at least for your lifetime or the birds lifetime. I would also consider a sanctuary placement.
This beautiful little girl just needs some time, attention and training to cure her minor bad habits. Shouldn't be a problem for the right person. If you think you are the perfect parent for this wonderful young bird, please email me. I WILL NOT SHIP THIS BIRD!! Senegal: Kiwi is about 16 yrs. old, got as a baby, hand feed. He is most likely a one person bird and loves to be with you on your shoulder or sits in lap. Will sit for hours while working at computer. He does say 'hello', but seems to prefer making sqeaking door, alarms etc. sounds, has had me answer a phone that was not ringing many times. He does not seem to play with others well, he is constantly on the 'tiel's cage tearing up everything and dumping the food.
