This two-tone bamboo cutting board is great if you are looking for a board that is durable, affordable, stylish and a "Green" product. The board is a perfect size too. Measuring 15 3/4" x 12" and 3/4" thick you can have enough cutting surface to slice a good sized roast or simply chop an onion and keep all the pieces on the board (not your floor or counter).

Bamboo is the fastest growing wood-like plant in the world; in the proper climate certian types of bamboo can grow up to 8 feet a day. Bamboo grows so fast because it is part of the grass family, though it can grow to tree like size. Once harvested, it can grow back in a matter of months making bamboo a sustainable and plentiful resource. Bamboo has been harvested in Asia for centuries for use as building materials, household goods and as food. Because bamboo products do not require the destruction of rare or endangered hardwood trees it can fulfill these diverse needs in an environmentally sustainable way.

In addition to its fast growth rate bamboo is also 16% harder than standard maple used on many cutting surfaces.

This product is made with food grade glue.


Use and Care
Bamboo products are NOT dishwasher safe.
Prior to each use wash with bird-safe soap and water only.
Occasionally wipe down with mineral oil to preserve finish.
