Meet the birds of "Echo's Haven" Sanctuary

My Darling Echo is not a rescue bird. She was my first pet bird, though I did rescue and rehab while living in Mexico.

She is a captive bred Scarlet Macaw that thinks she is an Umbrella Cockatoo. I knew nothing about Macaws when I got her, so I just followed my instincts. My husband and I took her EVERYWHERE with us...restaurants, fiestas, the grocery store, etc. She was so used to people, that anyone could hold her by the time she was six months old.

She gets along great with the dogs, cats and other birds. She is truly the queen and inspiration for Echo's Haven.   click next to continue...
