Zorro awoke one morning to the dawn of a new day. He watched as his
territory become slowly visible. Would this be the day he finds his new mate. He
hoped she had bright plumage and a cute beak. He rustled his wings free of
kinks and jumped off his sleeping perch down toward the lush green jungle
foliage far below. His halted his morning drop inches below the jungle floor. He
spied his friend Asia still sleeping on his perch far above. "Hey lazy bird!",
he screeched. Asia, frightened fell backward off his perch, plummeting to the
ground end over end. "Wake up, stupid, before you crash into the ground." Asia,
waking up quickly, halted his free-fall, looked down and calmly said to Zorro,
"Hey bird, quit waking me that way. Somebody could hurt themselves."

Asia fluffed his feathers and regained his dignity. "Look young man" This was my territory long before you were a gleam in your father's eye". You'll show me the proper respect or you can go join another flock.
By the way, what day is this? I think We were supposed to go to a bird sailing party, but forgot to put our names on the list. Oh well, I hope all our friends have a good time anyway.
Maybe they'll tell us about it when they return."
Asia flew off his branch , in search of his one true love, Echo. |

Cap'y, the Congo African Grey could not help but to hear the songs of Asia. She had never heard this song and had to investigate the sounds resonating from her territory. Always cautious, Capy continued her search for the origins of the song. Flying through the lush canopy of beautiful foliage keeping a sharp eye for the strange but wondrous sounds, she caught a glimpse of a pair of birds that were unfamiliar to her. What are they? What do they want? Are they predators or prey? Why had her parents not told her of such birds? Yet she had the need to press closer. |
