What AllSqwak Feathers and Petals is all about!

Kim and the AllSqwak Gang

I only wish this was the gang I'm AllSqwak about! This is my dream bird!

Objective: To make a difference in the lives of the birds. Both wild and captive. To see that anyone that comes in contact with these precious creatures, gets as much pleasure from them as those of us that own them. Also to help them be placed in caring and loving homes. Whether its mine or someone else's. To assist in aspects of feathers and petals. Floral arranging and design are my other true love!
Skills: I am knowledgeable with Hand feeding all bird sizes, I can clip wings and nails. I have the experience to bird sit or adopt a normal or handicapped bird. I am also a seamstress and make toys perch's and covers. I never stop learning. Everyday is a new experience. Too much to learn to sit idol. besides isn't that what causes plucking?
My other favorite skill is florist, thus the name All Sqwak Feathers and Petals. I love the flowers as much as the birds. Working with the sounds of the birds and fragrances of the flowers is the best medicine for the soul.
Experience: I worked for 6 months at the Aviary Bird shoppe in Miami, Florida. I helped in sales, feeding and care of most types of birds small to large. My main job was in the nursery where I was in charge of handfeeding the larger babies. Didn't know what I had until I was not there any more.
Education: Education and birds are what it is all about. My education comes from working hands on in the Aviary with a wonderfully knowledgeable group of people. As long as you keep one ear to the ground, you will get all the worms you need. I value the information learned from others. Their mistakes are worth a lot. Learning from hands on, other owners, reading and the cyber world that is in front of us is the best way to educate yourself on these remarkable Fids. Its all a gray area when dealing with the birds!
Personal: In summing this all up, I am very much in love with what I do. There is nothing more rewarding than to know that you have made a difference no matter how big or small. I started All Sqwak Feathers and Petals because they are my 3 loves. Birds, Flowers and always talking about it. I have a great portfolio that will be available online to check out if you wish.
